Going To A Go Go (s)

So last Thursday the Go Go's got their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It was a 5 year process with help from a bunch of their fans. They got the star right in front of Bettie Paige dress shop where in the 70s there was a club called the Masque. It was down in the basement and a ton of LA punk bands played there. The Go Go's played their very first show ever there on May 31, 1978 so it was totally appropriate they received the star there.

BTW - I was there!!! I had never been to unveiling before so it was pretty cool. As we stood around waiting for it to begin we found out that Jane Weidlin and Gina Schock were having a party afterwards at Velvet Cantina so we went to that too. I got to talk to Jane a bit but didn't a pic with her. I did however manage to finagle a pic with Gina! She was love a lovely.
