The new Swivek single MELTED AWAY is now available at Itunes and Amazon!
The single contains: Melted Away from the album EVERYBODY HATES YOU plus two songs only available on the single: It's Not That Simple and The Time Has Come
Three rocking tunes of love and life gone bad done in that Swivek-y way.
It may be the Year of the Tiger in Chinese culture or something like that but it looks like this year could be my year to establish myself as some kind of artist.
First and foremost the new SWIVEK album EVERYBODY HATES YOU is out and ready to buy. I have had a few good things said it about already. Then my pal Devin from Shitting Glitter directed and edited a faboo video for the song "Rock Hard." He then went on to remix it, his brother went on to remix the song, and my oldest and dearest pal Patrick did a remix. All culimating in a soon to be released single release.
I've been sending out emails and links about Swivek and someone actually contacted me all on their own about the songs. They liked them a lot and then I find out they are actual a promotion company who I'm going to look into to see if and/or how they might get Swivek out there.
Then the Leivas and I did a film segment for a new film/documentary trailer coming out about marriage. We were there for two hours filming and talking about ourselves. HEAVEN....
Last week, I met with a few friends of mine for a production meeting for webcast show we are planning called "Peephole" in which I will be one of the hosts. Apparently, they didn't like 'THE BRAD JACOBSON SHOW" but whateves.. Finally I'll have a platform for all things Brad.
Finally, I had sent an email to Logo TV to submit the video for "Rock Hard" and I just received an email from Logo giving me new contacts on who to contact to submit the video for New Now Next. Let's hope this is it..
No matter what it seems like it's heading to be the YEAR OF THE BRAD.
Music video edit for the Shitting Glitter remix of "Rock Hard" by Swivek off their new album, "Everybody Hates You," available on iTunes and at CDBaby.com. Original song written by, performed and produced by Swivek/Bradley Jacobson. Remix by Devin Tait for Shitting Glitter/Decadrisco Productions. Additional instruments, vocals, and productions by Devin Tait.
This is going to be the year for Swivek. The new CD EVERYBODY HATES YOU is now available for sale at CD Baby and on ITunes, and will be available at more places by the end of the month.
In December we filmed a video for the forthcoming single "Rock Hard." Devin Tait Strecker of Decadrisco Productions (and Shitting Glitter) directed and edited the video and it is now here for all of my fans (hi you two) to enjoy:
The digitized love of Itunes, Amazon and etc. won't be releasing EVERYBODY HATES YOU until February 23rd but if you want the full deal, the wonderful artwork, the awesome songs today is your day.
EVERYBODY HATES YOU is out and available to buy from CD baby!
Powers beyond little old Bradley's control has made one more (and the last) change to the release date of Swivek's EVERYBODY HATES YOU. The new (and final) release date for the new album is February 23, 2010! But it is coming out on that day and (fingers, legs and lips crossed) it will be available for both CD release AND digital release.
The great thing about the delay is that means the release of the single for "Rock Hard" with remixes and the video for "Rock Hard" should be ready for release shortly there after or around the same time..
again, to all my fans and friends (hi you two) I will keep you posted.
The new Swivek album EVERYBODY HATES YOU is in the mail and headed out to CD Baby as we speak. That means in just three short weeks the new Swivek album will be online and available to hear, buy and love. I know it's so exciting.
Also, the first single ROCK HARD is going to be released shortly after the album and it will include 3 smash remixes by some talented pals of mine (more on that to come) and we shot a video a few months ago and it's in the post production/production so get your lap tops ready cuz it's gonna be hot.
Until I get all the new Swivek stuff out there for you, here's a random little oldie to keep you going. One of my all time favs "Oliver's Army" by Elvis Costello!
We finally have an official release date for the brand spanking new Swivek album
EVERYBODY HATES YOU 13 songs of pure angst, lust and electronic poppy blitz will be officially released on February 9, 2010~!
So stay tuned for more news as it comes. The website will be updated this weekend, there will be notes spread all over the internet and if you're on Facebook, then join the Swivek fan list by clicking here and get even faster updates.Everybody may hate you but you're gonna love Swivek!
And here (if you haven't seen it) is the official front cover.
Ugh! I have been having my yearly Christmas stomach attacks - I have family in Wisconsin that needs their presents before Christmas so I'm always in a mad rush to try and get everything out and it isn't working as well as expected. I have finally succumbed and just hit the internet and started shipping out stuff. Meanwhile, I have a whole box that needs to be out by Wednesday..
and that's just my immediate family, then there is my extended family (i.e. my godson and his mother and her mother and father and his brother).. but I think I just need one more present and I can get that one out tomorrow as well.
Meanwhile, all my decorations are still sitting in boxes behind my sofa - though we did get the tree decorated at least.. and there are at least 2 presents under there for my husband.
Then I had all these grand ideas to put videos together and pictures printed for everyone to enjoy how wonderful the Leivas and I are, but now I just don't have time for that shizz...
And then there's my own personal issues... 1. The Leivas and I and some pals went out a drinking Saturday and Sunday and on Sunday we met some hottie strippers so I pulled out my fancy new phone and I can't for the friggin' life of me figure out how to get a picture from my phone to facebook... I have the option right there but it won't work... bastards..
But on to some very good notes - the last of the pictures from the Swivek Everybody Hates You photoshoot has been delivered into my hot little hands, so I just have to finish up the artwork and send it off (one more job but I think I can whip that out pretty quickly)...
We filmed the video for "Rock Hard" so that should be ready for next month's (next year!!) album release... and there are faboo remixers out there working on "Rock Hard." So far I have one remix already and there are two more people working on them, so the single is going to be amazing...
Okay, now I'm off to take a deep breath and try to get through my day unscathed by stress...
The year is almost over and I know you've all been itching to find out how the new album is coming.. Well we have great news! The new album EVERYBODY HATES YOU is complete. The music is recorded, mixed, matched and thrown together; our artwork is being polished up and the CD will be headed to the great presser by the end of next week.
We are also shooting the video for the first single "Rock Hard" this Saturday.
With all that said and done the new album will officially be released in the early days of 2010!
So just stay tuned and keep your legs together - we'll be throwing a ton of stuff out in the next few weeks.
It's taking a bit longer than expected but you can bet your little booties that the new Swivek album EVERYBODY HATES YOU is coming. Finally, after months of debate I have the final sequencing and track list, we have the photo shoot done and we are shooting a video for the first single "Rock Hard" on December 5th - so keep checking back cuz things are going to be coming fast and furious.
In other rock and roll news, my pals in Shitting Glitter have a brand new album out called Open For Business which you can and should buy at their website http://www.shittingglitter.com/ and they even shot their video for the song "19th & Lexington" which if you look really closely in the first couple of seconds you will see a certain little blonde Swivek-y boy! So check it out! and buy the album you'll love it!
Okay there is new Swivek coming out... I know how you're all waiting with baited breath. We have done over 20 songs and tried to include the ones that will grab ur knitter and won't let go. Luckily I have pals who are willing to help me out with such things... and luckily I am also bitchy enough to decide to override my pals so here (take a deep breath) is the final song choice for the new Swivek album EVERYBODY HATES YOU:
01. Get Hurt 02. Art Attacks 03. Rock Hard 04. The Time Has Come 05. Dead In The Water 06. Urban City 07. Everybody Hates You 08. It's Not That Simple 09. Melted Away 10. Havoc 11. Never See You Again 12. Whenever 13. Little World
and we're shooting a video SOON! so stay tuned for new releases as they come.. and sometime next week the final date of arrival will be sent out!
Hey kiddies - things are moving for the new Swivek album... I think we have a track list and sequencing all taken care of, though I may want to do a little tinkering with some mixes but because you're all such good friends and fans, you can hear one of the new songs on our My Space page! That's right - head over to www.myspace.com/swivek and you can listen to the title track EVERYBODY HATES YOU..
also now up on our page are a couple oldies and re-dos - first our Rachel Sweet cover of "Billy & The Gun" from 2006's Army Fatigue album is up and so is a newly recorded version of "Outside" from the Mexican Gods album in 2002... so check them and tell me how much you love them!
I'm sure you are all sick of hearing about my music making work, but let me tell you when it's all over you will all be thrilled to death with the results - and as always, even if you're not, I certainly don't want to hear about...
anyhoos, I've been working like a dawg I tell you. First off, I have been trying to work on the forthcoming Swivek album Everybody Hates You and our first single in a while - the aptly titled "Fabulous." Of course in between that I did manage to get the first rendition of the Shitting Glitter song I'm producing out to the two people who matter most - Devin & Amy of SG.
So while coming up with my album and the SG song, I would end up going to the mic and working out my own stuff and last night off the top of my head I came up with a brand new lyric and a poppy little song making it the fifth new song I've come up with in the last two months, adding to the already 17 I've cooked up for the album...
But never fear, my idea is to find my top 10 and go totally old skewl with a 10 track fast and furious little album...
so here's the latest line up song titles a brewin' - "Everybody Hates You", "Hell On Wheels" (download it and love it I tell ya!), "Runaway", "Take My Heart", "This Is A Town," "Fabulous", "Art Attacks", "Sucked Up The Sun", "He Said", "Get Hurt" - so tonight I'm back to the mixer to work out some more kinks... but never fear Swivek will return!
Location: West Hollywood, California, United States
