Some Christmas Vids from Me To You

First up is my most amazing little nephew Evan adrift in a sea of stuffed animals and Christmas knick knacks to perform his Christmas songs:

then it's his equally talented uncle to wish a Merry Christmas to all those I won't see this Christmas - yo, yo, yo, it'll be a Blue Christmas without you.

The Christmas Gifts Are Arriving

Our tree is up, I mailed out boxes to my family (ies) in Wisconsin and now the presents are arriving at my house. Yesterday we got home from work and there was a little package from a pal of mine I've never even met personally but we exchange music and fun stuff all the time and he got me the VERY best present ever:

That's right biatches, a Lisa Hartman coffee mug... thanx Shae! it's the very best and I don't know how I'm going to give you anything of an equivalent, but be ready for those mixers.

The Issues and The Tissues

Ugh! I have been having my yearly Christmas stomach attacks - I have family in Wisconsin that needs their presents before Christmas so I'm always in a mad rush to try and get everything out and it isn't working as well as expected. I have finally succumbed and just hit the internet and started shipping out stuff. Meanwhile, I have a whole box that needs to be out by Wednesday..

and that's just my immediate family, then there is my extended family (i.e. my godson and his mother and her mother and father and his brother).. but I think I just need one more present and I can get that one out tomorrow as well.

Meanwhile, all my decorations are still sitting in boxes behind my sofa - though we did get the tree decorated at least.. and there are at least 2 presents under there for my husband.

Then I had all these grand ideas to put videos together and pictures printed for everyone to enjoy how wonderful the Leivas and I are, but now I just don't have time for that shizz...

And then there's my own personal issues... 1. The Leivas and I and some pals went out a drinking Saturday and Sunday and on Sunday we met some hottie strippers so I pulled out my fancy new phone and I can't for the friggin' life of me figure out how to get a picture from my phone to facebook... I have the option right there but it won't work... bastards..

But on to some very good notes - the last of the pictures from the Swivek Everybody Hates You photoshoot has been delivered into my hot little hands, so I just have to finish up the artwork and send it off (one more job but I think I can whip that out pretty quickly)...

We filmed the video for "Rock Hard" so that should be ready for next month's (next year!!) album release... and there are faboo remixers out there working on "Rock Hard." So far I have one remix already and there are two more people working on them, so the single is going to be amazing...

Okay, now I'm off to take a deep breath and try to get through my day unscathed by stress...

Merry friggin Xmas kiddies.

Whirlwinds

Whew! What a weekend, if only more were like this last one, I'd really look forward to them.. oh wait. Anyhoos its, Friday night we went to go see the greatest Christmas show evah! The Boofant Sisters starring in Suck It Baby Jesus! I loved it and can not even tell you how much the Me & Little Andy Dolly Parton song segment touched me... in fact you should check it out on the link below.

After the show, the Leivas and I opted out of going to Shits & Giggles though all my palsie walsies were going but we did end up heading down the street and hitting Trunk's for a few cocktails and it looks like Rudolph the Reindeer threw up in that place - it is so overly decorated for the season I just about wet myself..

then Saturday I took off and did a little shopping on Hollywood Boulevard to try and get the last of the presents I need to send out to various locations through out the United States, but alas I still wasn't done.. then we had a dinner with some pals where drinks continued and continued until the wee hours of midnight where the Leivas and I stopped by the Gold Coast for a drink...

Then yesterday I crawled myself out of bed, put on some Christmas specials and began wrapping presents. After about an hour, I opted to do the tree, so while the Leivas shampooed our hall, I put on Surviving Christmas (which is a GREAT funny Christmas movie; I don't care what the critics say) and decorated my tree. (Pictures coming soon)

Then the Leivas left to do some shopping and I headed back to my room to do more wrapping. I swear I'm just a cut away from being Candy Spelling with my own gift wrapping room - though mine is also a music studio, art studio and guest room depending on what is going on.

After listening to some Christmas tunes and wrapping endless presents, I realized I should do some of my own Christmas music, so I got me some instrumental tracks and recorded a couple of Christmas songs - because well that's what I do when I'm hungover...

so stay tuned for Christmas bliss as we head deeper into the Holiday season - and hold onto your Santa hats cuz some Bradley Does Christmas songs are heading out to you..

Of Dragons and Cougars

I figured it was about time to start my Christmas shopping - I know I'm always so prepared. Now comes the hard part where I have to try and find everything people said they wanted during the year. I'm on a quest to find a DRAGON BANK for my nephew Alex. I found one on Ebay the other day and didn't buy it and now I'm kicking myself cause I can't find another one I like. I found these two, but I'm not sure if I'm crazy about either one...

then Alex's mother has been yelling about getting a throw blanket for years now.. the throw blanket she wants is one that was sent around in a junk email a while back, it's basically a blanket that has a hottie guy in a Speedo on it, so if anyone comes across such an item, shoot me an email. She would frickin' love it.

As for how the Cougar fits into all of this - listen up, especially you music bloggers... it seems I have offended the great one known as John (ny) Cougar Mellencamp or one of his suits. Awhile back I did my 7 days of Bubbatunes (as in last November) and I know I shouldn't have but I did put up one song from the compilations I made, well just yesterday I got a notice from Blogger that they were taking off the post for Bub 96... now I couldn't remember which one that was, so I looked at my list and there it was it was my Johnny compilation, so either the images or (more likely) the song I had up was copyright infringement.. which it is, but geez, I'm just a lowly blogger and I can honestly say not one single person downloaded that song anyway... but now I have to watch my nuggets I guess...

and it kind of sucks cause I am doing some new Bubbatunes and was going to put up the first one Kirsty MacColl's Desperate Character on Tuesday.. we'll see... but as far as I know they can get me for just talking about making a compilation - or can they?

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like.... Nada..

I love Christmas, be it the presents, the cheer, the spiked egg nog, the presents, the presents.. I'm not sure what it is but I love it. Only this year it doesn't feel like Christmas and I just don't get it. I spiked the nogg, I wrapped the presents, I sent out the presents, I decorated our tree, and I walk past the Christmas lights of the street poles and the bars as I venture to and from home, I listen to the songs over and over and still it just doesn't feel right. I mean the day is only three days away and today is my last at work before I head to a Christmas vacation, so what is wrong with the season?

Perhaps it's the fact that I have yet to get a box of presents myself, but that would make it a season about getting gifts instead of giving, and everyone knows I'm nothing if not a giver, so as I drink my Captain and Egg Nog, and head out into the blistery LA winter to finish shopping for my Leivas, and Chrissie Hynde spiritually sings my fav carol, "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas," I wonder what could put me in a more Christmas-y mood... I'm still a little sick with a cold so maybe that is my probs, maybe I just need a little cheering up so perhaps heading out to this event will do the trick... I'll let you know.
