For The Precious

A few months ago I told you how the Leivas was going to build me the holy grail of CD racks, and he did it. That's my man - he and I picked out the wood, he cut it, he doweled, he glued, he stained and he stained and he stained some more and let I got to (yelp! yaaay!) re- alphabetize my CDs as I had a slew of them I was still buying during the process of building. Oh yes - what a man, what a mighty fine man...

Here's how it used to look in the CD corner:

and here's how it looks now:

That is gorgeous work!

I don't coment as often as I should but I do still drop in. Lately I've been rebuilding my MP3 collection, as my storage drive is corrupted. Sigh.

Just wanted you to know I'm still enjoying your blog.

Aww that is so super of him! It makes me jealous cause a few years ago a friend of mine influenced me to get rid of all my jewel cases and just put all my CD's in books. Unfortunately, I couldn't afford the expensive books so I bought cheap ones and the slots weren't quite big enough for the CD and the booklets, so a lot of my booklets got a little warped. Plus it got frustrating trying to re-alphebetize all the books whenever I bought new CD's - what a nightmare. I want to switch back to jewel cases but I will have to buy hundreds of new cases and then put them all back in - luckily I didn't throw away the back inserts - I kept them all in a bag (somewhere).

Oh my gawd, I can't believe you don't have them in cases.. it makes my little head spin. For Christmas the Leivas bought me two huge boxes of clear jewel cases and I don't think he paid all that much for them either. You should definetly get some... how the hell do you spell defin... ah nevermind
