Bad Bad Elf
Well I guess I'm just a terrible little Christmas elf.. perhaps a hot Santa will have to spank me.. but none the less, every year I work and work to get my Christmas packages out to all those nice little boys and girls who are in my life.. well for years it seems some of my pals always send the presents to me after Christmas, which doesn't matter to me cuz I think my Christmas should last all year long... well because of the extended time frame that usually accompanies the presents I figured this year I didn't have to rush out the boxes out to those friends, so my pals the Ciss, Lisa, Patrick and Shae all have packages still sitting at my house (though the Leivas promised to send out Lisa's and Little Miss Ciss's out today) and wouldn't you know - yesterday I got packages from both of them! Talk about bad timing... meanwhile I'm still making up the box for a few people - but Amy and Lisa, if you are reading this know you will have a Bradley post Christmas.
Meanwhile Swivek recorded a new Christmas recording -
"Blue Christmas" - its our first Christmas song ever and I had meant to have it available to download this morning but alas I am a bad bad elf - and even more disappointing is I shot a video for the thing! I know, I'm too cool. Again, it's not ready but should be up by the end of the night - just in time for Christmas eve. You can hear the song at least on the
Swivek My Space page.. and finally, last night we had the best of Christmas balls ever - our friend Joe had a holiday party where loads of fun was had - we did this crazy gift exchange thing where you get to pick a gift and someone can steal it - some crazy blonde showed up with 30 some Britney Spears CDs - which both the Leivas and I forgot (oh well I'll just use something else as a coaster), they had a game where they put a Christmas themed name on your back and you had to ask questions to figure out who you were - there was food, drink and by the end of the night - a full on sing along with the piano.. needless to say I was in Christmas heaven..
but I'm still a bad bad elf...

Black Weekend
Well I have officially started my Christmas shopping - I know I'm always so up on these things. I had completey skipped Black Friday and Cyber Monday but decided to spend Saturday at Target, Borders and a little place I like to call Amoeba Music. Hundreds of thousands of dollars later and I have purchased 3 gifts... I kid, but really there wasn't much that was bought for others. I really need some kind of chaperone when I shop so I don't buy anything for myself.
On Friday, we hung out with my pal Marc who needed Alf's expertise in fixing his computer and this meant I could sit back, drink some Captain & Cokes and go through Marc's endless array of music - he has sooooo much music. I ended up scoring some
Kim Wilde rare CDs to copy,
Tracey Ullman's second album, a
Felony record to put onto CD and a few other gems... so yesterday I finished up the little project of putting all the things into the computer and there WILL be some new
Bubbatunes coming up...
and finally I think the musical workings of
Swivek will finally find some fruitation at the beginning of next year - the new album
Everybody Hates You will be coming out in February and I think I have the final track list now... I've decided to leave "Fabulous" as a one off single as the song no longer really fits in with the rest of the album, but never fear the album is going to be gooooood! I just need some final tinkerings and I think it will all work out....
Now I'm at work so I guess I'm off to do a little internet shopping! Stay tuned for a new Bubbatune in the 'morrow.

The Presence of Presents
Okay so I know I'm terrible at keeping up but work has been kicking my azz, and I hate that because if there's one thing I really love, it's vacation and I spent my whole Christmas vacation doing all kinds of nothing and really that's what I'm best at doing, and would love to do it every day.
So only a month later I will finally tell you about Christmas - first here are all the presents I had to mail out:
and these are the presents that were left behind for me and The Leivas - I know and here I was a bitchin' right before Christmas cuz I didn't think I was getting anything - I mean I didn't feel like it was Christmas.
But alas Christmas did come - and I know what you're all wonderin' - tell us, tell us what did you get you spoiled brat?? Okay so you coaxed it out of me..
First I always have a million DVDs and CDs I want but hardly ever get cause people think I'm always shopping for myself and buy what I want - so they don't realize that though I do that, I also tell people specifically which CDs and DVDs to buy so I don't buy them and I don't get doubles... so this year my little sister got me the Golden Girls Season 2 on DVD, I know they're on TV 24/7 but what if I want to watch a certain episode and Lifetime isn't airing it at that precise moment? Also, in a score for bonus points to the Cissell - I got the remastered new edition of Alligator - one of the best in the "animals gone bad" genre I so love. Lisa and Alf both got me "All About Eve" because obviously one of them (the Leivas) doesn't listen to me when I tell him what I told others to buy me... but that's okay it's been replaced by another cinematic classic - "Thank God It's Friday".
The Leivas also bought me two of the best presents - all I wanted was a really nice file cabinet - not the crappy office metal ones but a cool one - and he bought me this awesome wood two drawer file cabinet that became the best place to put my "precious" USB record player - and he got me this awesome Rolling Stone Cover to Cover book which has every single Rolling Stone Magazine on CD - you just pop in the program search for, oh let's say "Pat Benatar" and it shows on which disc and which magazine she appears in. Plus it's the whole damn magazine - every single issue including ads - it's a trip and a whole lotta wasting of time for me... but I love it.
These are only the top of the iceberg in my present recieving as I was such a good boy last year, but I felt I had to share a little bit with you, and so maybe just maybe we'll get together again soon.. maybe tomorrow, who knows... we'll see how these bastards work me ... I am working my digits right to the bone!

Checking My Lists
Well the Christmas season is finally upon us - how do I know? No, it's not the fact that every store put decorations up since before Thanksgiving, instead it's because I went shopping this weekend. That means the Christmas season has finally happened in the house of the Leivas. I went on a spree this past weekend though I only picked up a few gifts for my list, and a whole lot of fun stuff for myself. Still we have started and tonight I take down our giant air mattress bed in the guest room and turn the whole room into Christmas Central - full of gift wrap, spiked egg nog, Christmas tunes and a whole lot of wrapping. So far I haven't bought too many presents but by the end of next weekend I hope to have all the presents bought that have to go somewhere else. This past weekend saw many a far away family or friend get listed including the Cissell, my mother, Melsie and her kids, my sister, The Leivas' niece and my very own super cute little guy model/genius nephew Evan.
And speaking of the boy - look, he's getting ready for Christmas just like his Uncle Bradley.
